The GWF's 1,000th card celebration was held at the Ara Champions Hall. The first portion of the tournament was the Lethal Lottery, where the winning teams advance to an 8-man tournament for the Champions Cup.

Raven & Encubus v. Wraith & Bloodline

Wraith started the match and was beaten severely by both Raven and Encubus. Finally a tag was made and Bloodline found himself in the ring with Encubus. After some long stares, the two started to wrestle. Encubus got the better of Bloodline and applied the Masterlock for several minutes. Raven took over and got the pin after a crucifix power bomb.

Wolf & Colossus v. Pegasus & Genocide

Wolf tried to hit a move off the ropes right from the opening bell, but Genocide was ready and put a stop to it with a choke slam. Genocide proceeded to score multiple two-counts and tag Pegasus. Pegasus had Wolf on the verge of submission before Colossus stormed the ring and broke it up. Wolf was able to go for a pin but Pegasus kicked out. Colossus and Wolf both worked over Pegasus until Genocide got the tag. Wolf brought in Colossus, and a double sledgehammer smash beat Genocide.

Max Shield & Atys Tetrac v. Vyper & Janus

I-P champion Atys Tetrac started against Janus. Janus and Vyper each tried their hand against the stronger man. Max Shield picked things up and hit a glancing blow with the Omicron Force. Janus came back in and turned things around for his team. The Gordian Knot was applied and Max Shield immediately submitted.

Archon & Eclipse v. Mad Jester & Thunder

Eclipse took it right at the GWF champion Thunder and nearly scored a fast pin. He yelled at Archon to finish him off and made the tag. Archon slapped on a sleeper and would not let go. Thunder was nearing dream land when the Mad Jester broke up the attack, and then landed the Deadman's Verse three times on Archon. Thunder came back in and his double underhook DDT got the three-count on Archon.

The first round of the Champions Cup Tournament shapes up like this.
Raven v. Colossus
Wolf v. Encubus
Janus v. Thunder
Vyper v. Mad Jester

The Champions Cup Tournament featured the eight men who survived the Lethal Lottery tag-team portion of the event.

Round 1

Raven v. Colossus

This match up featured two GWF veterans back in the company after a long absence. In the early moments the match went back-and-forth. Colossus slowed Raven down and then blasted him with his own move, the Bladerunner. After that it was the Robotic Death Blow that gave Colossus the win.

Wolf v. Encubus

Encubus took over the match in the ring, but Wolf was the man when they went outside. The chair was Wolf's friend, and several high impact moves like the Wolf Skullcrusher. The Savage Face Claw ended this encounter.

Janus v. Thunder

This match was pure domination by Thunder. Janus could only momentarily stem the tide of Thunder's attack. The Gladiator connected on the Moonsault several times and then crushed Janus on the concrete floor with a chokeslam. Janus didn't get back in the ring and was counted out.

Vyper v. Mad Jester

Another match that was even at the outset. A turning point came when the Jester dove to the outside but was caught and power slammed on the concrete. Vyper was unable to capitalize on that move though. Later it was Vyper that was almost counted of the match. After kicking out from the Deadman's Verse, Vyper won the match with the Levitahan.

Semifinals

Colossus v. Wolf

Wolf again used his hardcore tactics outside the ring and with a chair. Colossus was in trouble but managed to stay alive. The cyborg assaulted Wolf with the Savage Face Claw, then the Gordian Knot out of nowhere and finally won the match with the Robotic Death Blow.

Thunder v. Vyper

Vyper had little chance against the offense of Thunder. The moonsault set Vyper up for the chokeslam which won the match for Thunder.

Final

Colossus v. Thunder

It was a big deal for the GWF champion Thunder to win this tournament. He was on a mission as Colossus withstood at tremendous onslaught. The fight went in and out of the ring and Thunder won the Champions Cup with the Tempest.

Penthouse Punks & Colossus (Six-Man CH) v. Blazing Skull, Draconian Sheik & Tortured Soul

Blazing Skull took over when the Death By Fire went off on Taurine. Tortured Soul continued it with the Rotting Claw. The Shiek applied the Sadistic Hammerlock and took Taurine to the outside. Taurine never made it back in the ring and the challengers won by a countout.

Sir Ender v. Antak

It was all Antak to start the match. He landed moves off the top rope and put on the sleeper hold. Sir Ender fought back with the Throne Strap and a pair of DDTs that gave him the pin.

Soulwatcher v. Varsity

Varsity caught the Soulwatcher off-guard at the start. A German Suplex followed by the PCD gave Varsity the win.

Tocsin v. Mutant

Tocsin felt the Face Mangler early in the match. Tocsin came back with the Sentry Stunner. The second time he used that he was DQed.

Elemental Fury v. Ketchup Please

Avalanche carried most of the offense in this one. He splashed both opponents, but Cyclone missed the Seismic Quake. The Jesters had some offense but another splash outside gave Elemental Fury a countout victory.

Prodigy v. Skinhead

As inconceivable as it is, Skinhead no-showed the 1,000th card in GWF history.

Rouser v. Grovel

An even match for a few moments to start. Rouser connected on a top rope off the ropes and then hit Xenophobia for the win.

Archon v. Tanck

Tanck rushed Archon right at the opening bell but missed. A chicken wing suplex and then the Riot Act gave Archon the win.

Amazonia v. Shann-Ra

Shann-Ra hit the first big move of the match with the Huntress Claw. Amazonia felt the Machete twice before being pinned.

Twin Blood v. Heavy Artillery

This was a superb tag match, one of the best so far in 2114. Nth Degree withstood the attack and Monad executed the Quadruple Clamp twice on Sleeze. Nth Degree wore on Dreggs with submission moves. Twin Blood rallied and nailed Twice Bitten, but Monad made the save. Nth Degree finally gave in to the Twist and Shout.

Atman v. Slayer

Atman continued his dominance over Slayer, winning in seconds with the Third Eye.

Wraith v. Hyper

Hyper had no offense as he was overwhelmed by Wraith. The Ghostly Elbow Slam ended the match.

Creatures of Lamia (I-P Tag Ch) v. Swat Team *

The Swat Team held its own against the awesome size of Cyclopes. The giant took everything they had to throw at him, even outside the ring. Trench hit the Metal Ramrod but Turge broke it up. Cyclopes then missed his big splash. Turge missed a dive in the corner and Trench hit a knee drop off the top to win the Interplanetary Tag-Team titles.

Ursa Major (Cruiserweight Ch) v. Enigma *

Enigma came close to winning the title a few weeks ago, losing by DQ. The Titan had no chance against the offensive attack of Enigma. After the Enigma Suicida twice, the Cruiserweight title changed hands.

Gladiators v. Pegasus & Minotaur (Nightmare Matrix Match)

This was an unbelievable match with both teams going all out. The Wasteland by Malice nearly beat Minotaur. Both teams dished it out and took a lot of punishment, with both being helped and hurt by the visions created by the Matrix. In the end Pegasus fell to Aethran Supremacy.

Vyper v. Anarchy (Total Anarchy Match)

Anarchy had an early attack, then took an ungodly beating the rest of the way from Vyper. It took several finishers on the floor from Vyper before he finally won the match.

Stars & Stripes v. Terminus & Maelstrom (Hardcore Titan Death Match)

S&S take the fight to Maelstrom. The match went back-and-forth on the floor with Terminus. It was the Hammerlock Slam that did in Stars & Stripes.

Scion Nexus & Blade v. Eclipse & Mike Fortune (Four Weapons of Destruction Match)

The Titans utterly destroyed Mike Fortune. Eclipse never got a tag and the Blade of Retribution beat Fortune, who will be out of action for about six cards.

Corp. Aegis v. Murdok (Centra Coffin Match)

This was an extremely long and brutal beating by Murdok on Aegis. It was like he didn't know you were to put the man in the coffin, he just wanted to hurt Aegis. Aegis never stopped fighting and managed to hit the Corporal Punishment, but Murdok was completely too much and locked him in the coffin.

Wolf v. Killprey (Gutarr Stick Match)

This match stayed even in the ring but Wolf won the fight on the floor. A diving blast to the head with the stick on the outside helped give Wolf the win and put Killprey out of action for eight cards after some post-match punishment.

Euritar (TV ch) v. Genocide *

Euritar started the match fast but suffered a beating outside the ring. After that Genocide came off the top rope and took the Television title.

Atys Tetrac (I-P ch) v. Disaster

Disaster attacked fast at the start. Tetrac held on and traded power moves. Tetrac used both finishers and then a power bomb to pin Disaster.

Desolation Factor (Tag ch) v. Ravagers

D.F. double team Rankor. Ventross hits the ring and puts down Rack. After exchanging moves, a power slam by Ruin pinned Ventross.

Thunder (GWF ch) v. Jack of Diamonds *

A truly amazing title match. Thunder found himself in major trouble against this former GWF superstar. The Gladiator fought back with his moonsault and finisher. Jack never let up though and Thunder took the Black Diamond once again and was beaten for the GWF title.

Max Shield, Mandrill, Colonizer Empire v. Blacklist, Bloodline, Encubus (Torture Chamber Elimination Match)

Bloodline eliminated Nefarus with the Big Bang. Encubus used the Masterlock and the 2nd Coming to beat Max Shield, making it 4-on-2. Mandrill and Vendetta got some offense together and took it to Encubus. The Claw Slam by Mandrill eliminated Mensar. The Mutant Mauler then finished off Bloodline to even the match 2-on-2. Cordanus made a save for Encubus, who then hit Mandrill with an off the top rope clothesline to beat Mandrill. Vendetta downed Encubus, leaving him alone with Cordanus. A jackhammer pinned Cordanus to win the match for the GWF Coalition.

The GWF has been thrown on its head ever since Galacticade 2114. Nobody knew what direction the company would head when the Jack of Diamonds won the Galaxian title by beating Thunder.

It didn't matter as the very next day JOD put the title on the line against Murdok. Some questioned his receiving a title shot, despite a No. 3 ranking as most of his wins have come against Corp. Aegis. Murdok may not exactly know the meaning of the GWF title, but he does know it's good to have and he came away with his first ever championship.

Interplanetary champion Atys Tetrac then received his title shot against Murdok. This match was signed title vs. title in a contest between two of the most powerful men in the sport. Murdok took over the match after trading moves and wore down the former Code Enforcer. His awesome Power of the Plague clothesline pinned Tetrac, bringing him the I-P belt and retaining the GWF title.

The title turmoil wasn't over yet. New GWF TV champion Genocide faced the Draconian Sheik. The hardcore veteran took the fight right at the big man, and following violent attacks outside the ring and with foreign objects, Genocide gave in under the pressue and the Sheik is the new GWF TV champion. The Sheik has been signed to defend that belt in a Ladder Match against Vyper.

Ongoing are a pair of tournaments to determine the No. 1 contender for the Cruiserweight title and tag-team titles. Now the championship committee will need to make a decision about the I-P title, as Murdok will soon be forced to vacate it.

The GWF championship committee has decided what to do with the Interplanetary title situation. Murdok defeated Atys Tetrac to retain the Galaxian title and win the I-P belt.

The title will be vacated. A 20-man battle royal will take place to determine the eight participants in a tournament for the championship. The final eight men in the battle royal will advance to the tournament. The first man eliminated after only eight remain will be the No. 8 seed, next will be seventh and so on. The winner of the battle royal will be the top seed.

Those eight men will be placed in the bracket according to their seed. The tournament winner will become the Interplanetary heavyweight champion.

The 20 men to take part in the battle royal will be announced at a later date.

Card #1,005 featured the finals of the Triple Threat Cruiserweight #1 Contenders Tournament. Blizzard, Eclipse and Scion Nexus squared off for a shot at Enigma and the GWF Cruiserweight title.

Eclipse showed his superiority, withstanding a tremendous pounding the whole match. Blizzard and Scion Nexus joined forces against the Hitman, but he took everything they gave him. Eclipse battled back to eliminate Blizzard, and then defeated Scion Nexus once again to win the tournament and a championship match.

In the semifinals of a 12-team step ladder tournament to determine #1 contenders for the tag-team titles, Pegasus and Minotaur easily defeated former I-P tag champs the Creatures of Lamia.

The Gladiators took out the Ravagers to reach the finals against Pegasus & Minotaur.

Vyper defeated Anarchy in a Table Match.

The FDF met the Alien Connection in a Battlezone Match. Maelstrom started against Atys Tetrac and finished off the big man in short time. Maelstrom then beat the U.S. Male and American Guy to leave Archon all alone.

GWF SuperBrawl V from the Altair Crystal Palace, Aguila, was the final event of 2114. Card #1,010.

Action opened up with the unpopular six-man tag-team champions, Colossus, Romulus and Taurine. They have held the belts since card #986 when they beat Mace, Molotok and Kulak, and have now made five title defenses. The grouping of the Mutant, Grovel and Turge was not much opposition.

Next came the 20-man battle royal for the vacant I-P title. A great match with a stunning conclusion. Ventross was one of eight men randomly chosen to participate, and he threw out six wrestlers on his way to winning the belt.

(x) = number the person was eliminated

Euritar: (1) Mike Fortune, (17) Disaster & (18) Wolf
Mandrill: (2) Atman
Disaster: (3) Cylopes & (4) Mandrill
Corp. Aegis: (5) Slayer

The Rocketmen and Brymstone Burning met in a Titan Death Elimination Match. The team of Sleeze, Tocsin and Cyclone did little against Anarchy, Blazing Skull and Tortured Soul, as all three of the Brymstone team survived.

Not to be outdone was a Total Anarchy match between Stars & Stripes and Terminus & Maelstrom. The Alien Connection combination dominated and scored the win.

Max Shield quickly defeated Necros to retain the GWF TV title.

The GWF Coalition took on Takeover in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Wraith was battered down and put away by Mensar with neither team making a tag. The Colonizer Empire, and Cordanus and Hyper respectively were left on the apron.

An excellent tag match pitted I-P champs Swat Team against Pegasus & Minotaur. It went back-and-forth, and the new team of Pegasus & Minotaur came away with the gold.

Wolf and Killprey went at it again after the battle royal in a Mensa Table Match. It was all Wolf as Killprey never mustered a single offensive move. Wolf crushed him through two tables and continued the onslaught until he felt like taking the pin.

A very disappointing match saw Eclipse win the GWF Cruiserweight title from Enigma. Enigma might as well have not shown up at all.

The Gladiators went after Archon and Atys Tetrac for the GWF tag-team titles. Another solid affair with Malice withstanding a tremendous mat attack from Archon. Tetrac made some poor choices during the match in letting the fight go to the outside. Both teams could have been DQed, but Malice & Overkill went on to win the tag-team titles.

It was almost an all-Gladiator night. Thunder challenged Murkok for the Galaxian title. Murdok surprised Thunder and the people with a tremendous offensive attack. Murdok couldn't land his big finishing clothesline though, and Thunder kept battling back. Murdok planted Thunder for the win and retained the championship.

Final Sudden Death Standings.
