The Greek Gods unified the GWF tag titles and the I-P belts at Clash of the Champions VIII. It was also their retirement match, and the belts were vacated. The I-P titles were De-Sanctioned, and a tournament was held to determine new tag-team champions. The semifinals and finals were held at Wrestle War '93.
