The GWF's next big event will be on free, Galaxy wide television. Clash of the Champions XVI will be coming to you live from the Triton Pavillion, Neptune, Saturday, February 13.
Seven championship matches have been signed. Buck Steele beat out Pegasus, Chaos and Wolf for the No. 1 contenders spot. He defeated all three of those men and took the Steel Cage title from Chaos. Buck has been transforming to Genocide in every match he has very early on and dominating from there. Buck Steele will defend the Steel Cage title when he challenges Heracles for the GWF heavyweight crown.
The Matador squares off against Malice in the finals of the Interplanetary title tournament.
Max Shield battles Painmaster while he defends the TV title in a Turnbuckle Shock match.
Archon defends the Cruiserweight belt against Skinhead.
Supernova faces the challenge of Thrash for the Woman's championship.
The Theatre of Pain face the No. 1 contenders for their GWF tag-team titles, Thunder & Overkill.
Twin Blood meet the Ninja Assassins in a rematch against the former champs for the I-P tag titles.
The GWF meets the CPC in a monster 10-man 2/3 falls titan death match. Paragon, Wolf, Chaos, Alpha Force and Lance At-Las go up against Paragon, Terminus, Janus, Colossus & Prodigy.
The undercard is almost as great as the main events. Vengeance and Mandrill square off again in a rematch from last week. These two men went at it with any thing they could get their hands on, so at the Clash they will fight in a Four Weapons of Destruction match.
Death's Head looks for revenge in a Total Anarchy match against Anarchy.
The Rebel Empire meet Desolation Factor in another rematch that ended in a D.Q. the first time.
Splatter & Vyper face the CPC Outcasts, Mayhem & Jester.
In a Tirion Triple Threat match, The Royal Flush, Cygnus Strikeforce and the team of Kati & Homicide battle position in the tag-team rankings.
All this on free teevee, just for you, the fans of the GWF. Nuff said.
In the main event, Buck Steele faced Heracles for the GWF title inside a steel cage. Buck stayed in human form longer than in recent matches, but finally transformed to Genocide. The raging monster needed some time to finish off the champion. Heracles could not keep a sustained attack going and finally fell to behehoth. Buck/Genocide is the new heavyweight champion, and retained the steel cage title.
The Matador and Malice met in the finals of the Interplanetary title tournament. The Matador dominated early, then it went back-and-forth with several fights on the floor. Malice rallied to finish off the Matador by putting him through a table to win his first ever singles championship.
Max Shield faced the Painmaster in a Turnbuckle Shock match for the GWF TV title. The Painmaster capitalized on the special match early, sending Max into the corner for a big shock. He picked him up for the Torture Rack and got the submission victory. Painmaster wins his first ever singles title.
Supernova took on Thrash for the GWF Woman's title. The Gladiator couldn't keep up with Nova's speed early, but then the power took over. Two finishers from Thrash gave her the belt for the second time.
The Theatre of Pain held off the challenge of Thunder & Overkill to retain the GWF tag-team titles.
Twin Blood and the Ninja Assassins hooked up in another classic match. Both teams had chances at winning, and finally Twin Blood were disqualified, leaving the Assassins the win but without the belts.
Archon handled the challenge of Skinhead without too much problem to retain the GWF Cruiserweight strap.
The Royal Flush defeated the Cygnus Strikeforce and Kati & Homicide in a Tirion Triple Threat Match.
Mayhem & Jester out brawled the team of Splatter & Vyper.
Desolation Factor devastated the Rebel Empire.
Death's Head beat Anarchy in a Total Anarchy Match.
