The battle royal begins, and Skinhead tosses Max Shield. Genocide and the Matador have paired off, while Colossus pounds Jack. Thunder nearly has Dagger Mack of the ring already. Janus and Mike Fortune try to get the upper hand on the other, and Vendetta almost has Bloodline eliminated. Brainstorm bulldogs Taurine from behind and dumps him out. Raven uses a reverse slam and the Bladerunner on Grunge, but can't get him out. No, Grunge has been eliminated by Raven. Zouave and Maxx Juice have locked up. Heracles quickly has the Soldier of Fortune in trouble. Goliath has the Dominator in dire straits. Paragon just choke slammed the Painmaster.
Matador wisely moves away from Genocide and fights with Zouave. Colossus has Jack almost out of here, but Thunder levels Colossus from behind. Mack close to eliminating Fortune. Vendetta hits a double running clothesline on Bloodline and Janus, knocking both men to the floor. Juice is overpowering Heracles. Goliath still has the Dominator down. Paragon just fired Painmaster out of the ring. Raven lands the Broadsword on Brainstorm. Genocide explodes on Skinhead and eliminates him. The Soldier jumps on Paragon but gets nailed for it.
Colossus has come back against Thunder. Mack has Fortune in a compromising position. Matador and Zouave are pretty even. Heracles and Juice still going at it and almost put each other out. Jack moves in on Goliath, but the monster doesn't go anywhere. Paragon's big boot knocks out the Soldier, and Raven tosses Brainstorm. Vendetta tries his hand with Genocide but gets nowhere. He teams up with the Dominator against him but Genocide choke slams both men. Jack sneaks up again and eliminates Goliath. Mack and Fortune are still fighting while the Matador goes after Jack.
Heracles uses the Olympia twice to finally eliminate Maxx Juice. Colossus is all over Thunder, and Zouave jumps on Heracles and throws him out. Paragon gets the advantage against Vendetta. Raven and the Dominator are working on Genocide. Fortune tosses Zouave to the floor. Jack hits a running elbow and a trio of Throne Straps sends the Matador to the concrete. Colossus tries to dump Fortune, but he gets eliminated instead.
Paragon keeps Vendetta down as Mack fights with Raven. Out of nowhere, the Dominator gets Genocide out of the ring. Now, these final eight men (Paragon, Vendetta, Raven, Dominator, Thunder, Jack, Fortune and Dagger Mack) will advance to the hardcore tournament.
Fortune's Hangman dumps Jack to the floor. Thunder and the Dominator have paired off, and Vendetta avoids elimination and almost gets rid of Paragon. Mack nearly throws out Raven, and Thunder with a choke slam fires out Fortune. Vendetta lands a leg drop and then throws out Paragon. Mack with the Back Stab ousts Raven.
Dominator has Thunder almost out, and Vendetta is throwing Mack around the ring. Three times the Dominator almost gets rid of the Gladiator, and then the Colonizer goes after Thunder. They go toe-to-toe before Thunder eliminates Vendetta. Dominator fights off both Thunder and Dagger Mack, then Thunder turns on Mack. It's the Dominator who eliminates Mack to come down to the final two men. Thunder nails the Dominator and throws him away to win the Battle Royal and claim the No. 1 seed in the Hardcore Tournament to determine the winner of Survival of the Fittest.

Thunder won the Battle Royal, eliminating the Dominator for the victory. Those two receive byes to the semifinals, the #3 and 4 seeds go to the second round, 6-8 have first round matches.
First Round
(5) Raven vs. (8) Jack of Diamonds
(6) Paragon vs. (7) Mike Fortune
Byes (3) Dagger Mack and (4) Vendetta to the second round.
Each match in the Hardcore Tournament will have special rules, with no match being used more than once.
Round 1
(5) RAVEN VS. (8) JACK OF DIAMONDS (GALACTIC CHAIN MATCH)
Raven goes on the attack and wraps the chain around Jack's neck and flings him across the ring. Raven misses a falling fist with the chain, but comes back with a right hand wrapped with the chain. The vulture dive results in a 2-ct. Then both men go down after a double chain clothesline. Jack controls the match then, but gets clotheslined again and hit with the Broadsword twice. Jack starts choking Raven out with the chain, and then hits the Diamond Cut and the Black Diamond beats Raven.
(6) PARAGON VS. (7) MIKE FORTUNE (SINGAPORE CANE MATCH)
The match turns into a brawl on the outside and Paragon injures Fortune with three successive whirlybird backbreakers. Paragon is in command on the floor and crushes the Hitman. Neither man has gone for the cane yet. Fortune comes back with a Hitman's Special, then clotheslines the CPC Big Man over the top rope with the cane. It's mayhem on the floor, and Paragon regains the upper hand. A choke slam finishes off Fortune.
Quarterfinals
(8) JACK OF DIAMONDS VS. (3) DAGGER MACK (FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE) After both men go down from a double clothesline, Jack gets a nearfall with the Diamond Cut. Mack doesn't know what hit him after that, as the Black Diamond, Throne Strap and the finisher again ends this one quickly and the Jack of Diamonds moves on.
(4) VENDETTA VS. (6) PARAGON (BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT MATCH) These two fought during the Battle Royal, and go at it again here. They spill to the outside and Vendetta gets a pair of nearfalls after the Big Fall. The Colonizer is awesome on the outside. Paragon ducks the bat, a kick to the gut and he puts Vendetta in a headlock and rakes the bat across his face. Vendetta goes to the chair, and an atomic drop followed by the Big Fall pins Paragon.
Semifinals
(1) THUNDER VS. (8) JACK OF DIAMONDS (FOUR WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION MATCH) Jack is obviously fatigues already having two matches plus the battle royal before this one. Thunder is in charge at the start, but Jack hits the Diamond Cut. Thunder goes under the ring and comes up with a stun rod to smash Jack with. Thunder opens up the offense and uses chairs and tables as well. After a moonsault Jack can get up no more.
(6) VENDETTA VS. (2) DOMINATOR (EXPLODING RING DEATH MATCH) Vendetta dives at the Dominator, but misses and goes chest first into the barbed wire. Dominator then slingshots him again into the wire and power bombs the Colonizer. Dominator attempts a high risk move from the top and gets caught by Vendetta. But both men fall into the barbed wire and take the full brunt of an explosion. They are both knocked out and cannot continue.
Thunder is ruled the victor of the tournament and the Sole Survivor. The Gladiator comes out to the ring through the smoke and proceeds to choke slam each man into the mat. He declares himself the ultimate survivor, the Gladiators can never be stopped. It is only fitting that I reign supreme if this is to be the final GWF event in history.
