Round 1
Armageddon, Carnage & Slaughterhouse, former GWF tag champs crushed the Hunters of Prey in the opening round.
Former I-P tag champs the Lower World thought they would fair better, but lost in the first round to the nGo's Lords of Discipline.
Cassandra's Stormtroopers wanted to prove a point in this tournament for the years they were overlooked by the GWF championship committee. Powerhouse & Hammer upset the Penthouse Punks to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Jade Dynasty, Akuma & Tsuyoi defeated Apocalypse, Gunner & Slash, of the SWA.
Fans were excited to see Raven return to the ring with Talon against Energy Express, Comet Kid & Orion. It was a shortlived return as the unknown team from the SWA moved on to the second round.
The Satanic Forces had yet to make the big time, but the CPC might be where they do it. They dominated the Troubleshooters, controlling the entire match. Just before the timelimit was to expire, a brawl broke out and ended in a double D.Q.
A great high flying team in Halcon Oro and Lycosa, the Masked Marvels, took on the Amish Attack Force, Jeremiah & Ezekiel Byler. The cruiserweight combo wasted no time in putting away the larger but inexperienced team.
The final match of the first round was Korr & Walter, the Big Top Terror against Tex Remington and El Pantera Negro. This one ended with Tex & Negro moving on by D.Q.
Quarterfinals
The heavily favored Armageddon team got caught off guard by the Lords of Discipline.
The Stormtoopers plowed their way into the semifinals by mowing down the Jade Dynasty.
Energy Express rested up with a bye to the semis.
The Masked Marvels had a tough match with Remington and Negro. Negro and Oro started it off, two great cruiserweights. Negro hit Oro and the ref with a cross body block off the top, which ended up costing him. With the ref out, there was no one to count when he had Oro pinned twice. After the ref came to, he disqualified El Pantera for hitting him.
Semifinals
The Stormtroopers looked good in this tournament and kept their momentum going. Cassandra didn't need to involve herself at all, as the Lords of Discipline were disqualified.
The Masked Assassins met Energy Express in the other final four contest. Orion handled some early offense and scored a quick pin to reach to the finals.
Finals
Two evenly matched teams, one power wrestler and one cruiserweight on each side, met for the CPC tag titles. Comet Kid took a beating, but never quit. Orion scored a quick pin after getting the tag to win the CPC tag-team titles for Energy Express.
