1. Spike won a 64-man King of the Death Match Tournament, beating the Code Enforcer in a Widowmaker match, to become the first Death Match champion. The Steel Cage championship was de-sanctioned and re-sanctioned as the Death Match title.
2. The GWF was closed down by President Cordanus and the UFSP. All operations were halted,
and Mayhem was the last GWF Death Match Champion.
