The GWF is ready to kick off 2116 with the Iron Man series of tournaments. This year some spots have been left open and a one-night four-man round robin tournament will determine who gets to be a part of this showcase event.

At the Titania Tower, Uranus, the final entrant for the both the Iron-Light and the Iron Man Tournament will be determined at "To Be An Iron Man."

Competing for the last cruiserweight spot are El Pantera Negro, Kaos, the Soulwatcher and Amazing Mann.

The men vying for the last position in the Iron Man Tournament showcasing the top 10 wrestlers in the galaxy are Cyclopes, Encubus, Godsend and Max Shield.

In addition to the two round robin tournaments, there will be three other grudge matches on the card.

Disaster, one of the Iron Men, will battle Killprey. Wolf and Genocide renew their past hatred in a Stretcher Match. Switchblade and Blazing Skull will fight to survive in a Ring of Fire Match.

A pair of 4-man round robin tournaments were held at the Titania Tower, Uranus with the winner gaining entry to the Iron Man and the Iron Light Tournaments.

The newest member of the Fighting Titans, Kaos, debuted at the Survivor Series with less than stellar results. He made up for it by winning the contenders tournament and will be a part of the Iron-Light Tournament.

Kaos defeated veteran El Pantera Negro in his first match in very quick fashion with a rolling thunder leg drop. He again took a fast win over the Amazing Mann after hitting both his finishers - the Scream Machine and the Flying Guillotine. Kaos lost his final matchup against the Soulwatcher, but won the tournament with 40 points.

Amazing Mann also finished with 40 points after wins over Negro and the Soulwatcher. He beat Negro with the Contortion and finished off the Soulwatcher by beating him severely outside the ring.

El Pantera Negro and the Soulwatcher each scored 20 points. Negro made a comeback to beat the Soulwatcher with the Quebrada.

In the Iron Man contenders tournament it was Encubus sweeping his way to victory. He defeated Cyclopes, Max Shield and Godsend and will now one of 10 men in the Iron Man.

Encubus surprised Cyclopes with an offensive flurry and won with a pair of Second Comings. He blew past Max Shield by using both his finishers. After being down on the outside, Encubus came back to beat Godsend with the Second Coming to win the tournament.

Max Shield, Godsend and Cyclopes all scored 20 points by beating one of the other two.

In other matches, Killprey took Disaster out on the floor, set up the Ambush and got a clean win. Wolf absolutely destroyed Genocide in a Stretcher Match, and Blazing Skull defeated Switchblade in a Ring of Fire Match.

Clash of the Champions 20 took place at the Phobos Sundome, Mars. The lineup featured a pair of four-man round robin tournaments. The first determined the #1 contender for the Interplanetary title. The second not only filled the vacant GWF TV title, but the winner also gained entry to the Iron Man Tournament.

Warfare took charge as he swept all three matches to become the #1 contender to the I-P title held by Ventross. Warfare ran over Anarchy and Atys Tetrac in devastating fashion. The final match put him against Euritar with the winner taking the tournament.

It went back and forth with Warfare leveling Euritar with awesome power moves. Euritar had his chances at winning but couldn't hit his finisher. Warfare exploded with a series of offensive moves and finally downed Euritar to win the tournament.

Euritar finished second with 40 points. Atys Tetrac beat Anarchy for 20 points and the Brymstonian was shutout.

In the TV title tournament, Bloodline also swept his three matches to win only his second career title in the GWF. He defeated Tanck, Hyper and his newest nemesis Eclipse to capture the gold, and the final spot at the Iron Man Tournament. Bloodline joins partners Encubus - who won an Iron Man contenders round robin tournament, and GWF champion Vyper in the Iron Man competition.

Hyper scored a major victory over Eclipse to end the tournament and finish in second place with 40 points. Eclipse downed Tanck for his only win to take third and Tanck did not score a point.

In other action at the Clash, Archon used the sleeper hold to beat Amazing Mann. Thunder cleaned house to win a Hunter's Prey Match against Killprey. Mandrill completely destroyed Nefarus in a Pictor Four Corners Match, though Nefarus wouldn't quit fighting and stayed alive for some time (Nefarus rolled a 12 three times to keep the match going!)

The GWF Iron Woman Tournament kicks off a series of five round-robin events that are the pinnacle of individual competition. The Europa Garden, Jupiter will host card #1,046 where the top 10 women in the Galaxy will compete.

The tournament takes place over three days with 15 matches per day. The order of matches was randomly determined and that has a major influence on the outcome.

This year's Iron Woman participants are:

Amazonia: former GWF woman's champion. After 27 years in the company, can she prove she is still at the top?

Thrash: a 16-year veteran and the only woman to ever hold the woman's title three times. The Gladiator is poised to dominate the women's division.

Shann-Ra: only in her third year as a wrestler, Shann-Ra's ferociousness may be enough to take her to the title.

Sabre: this outspoken lady finally has a chance to prove her worth in the GWF.

Sniper: the daughter of Krakan is hungry for the spotlight.

Phantasy: the GWF newcomer gets an immediate chance to show what she can do.

Xenia: was impressive as part of the winning team at Survivor Series.

Fata Morgana: an unknown with ties to former GWF manager Darkos.

Chelsea "Lightning" Storm: a wrestler from the HWA steps up to the big time.

Ebony Ice: representing the ICOF with a lot to prove.

By looking at the breakdown of matches may reveal how the tournament could go. Thrash will wrestle just once on the firs and second days and then hit the ring seven times on the final day, with the last four matches overall. Shann-Ra will have an opportunity to win it all with six matches on day three.

Sabre, Fata Morgana and Sniper each will wrestle five days on opening day. Phantasy will endure seven matches on day two where it will be make or break for her.

On each day of the Iron Woman there will be one other match. Talon will take on Encubus on day one and Atys Tetrac squares off against the Amazing Mann on day two. On the final day Atman meets Nightmare in a Nightmare Matrix Match.

It came down to Thrash vs. Shann-Ra. The Gladiator wrestled seven times on the final day, winning six of those matches. This one wasn't very long as Shann-Ra wrestled six times on day 3. Thrash took over and never let up. A choke slam started the match and then a series of brainbusters and piledrivers followed. On day 3 Atman and Nightmare met in a Nightmare Matrix Match. After a short contest that Nightmare won, he was joined by Godsend and Atman was brutally beaten after the match.

The GWF hits the Triton Pavillion, Neptune for the Six-Man Iron Team Tournament. Which group will prove to be the best?

The participants:

Thrill of the Chase (Killprey, Vengeance, Puma): the current GWF Six-Man Tag-Team Champions. Puma has hung around despite not being an official team member according to Bounty Hunter. This team has somehow retained its gold, including Killprey and Vengeance's I-P tag belts.

Gladiators (Thunder, Malice, Overkill): The Gladiators the greatest six-man combination in GWF history as former six-time champions, but have been unable to take the belts from the Thrill of the Chase.

Animen (Minotaur, Antak, Swarm): Mandrill put together his team's tag specialists for this event.

Fourth Realm (Petarra, Darkseed, Nightmare): The new bad guys on the block will get to face the rest of the GWF superstars. Petarra and Darkseed are the GWF tag team champions, with Darkseed replacing Nightmare as co-holder.

Immortals (Atman, Paladin, Reckless): the new good guys in the GWF will be closely scrutinized during this event.

Fighting Titans (Eclipse, Talon, Kaos): the Titans are a team in need of a good showing in the tournament. Kaos has joined the team now and earned his way into the Iron-Light Tournament. Ursa Major is being pushed to the back seat.

Rocketmen (Switchblade, Euritar, Avalanche): Johnny Rocket decided to go with his three best guys instead of using the team of Elemental Fury.

Brymstone Burning (Blazing Skull, Anarchy, Cyclopes): Turge did the same thing as Rocket with his team. Former GWF tag champs Unspeakable Horror are back together.

Colonizers (Nefarus, Vendetta, Max Shield): Can the Colonizer Empire and Max Shield get along for three days and nine matches?

Angry Young Men (Vyper, Encubus, Bloodline): Thantos' team is not all smiles, despite Bloodline winning the TV title, him and Encubus making the Iron Man Tournament, and Vyper being the GWF champion. Will thing improve as this team event or are they all out for themselves?

Over the three day event 45 matches will take place in the tournament, 15 per day. For the first time in any of the Iron Man Tournaments, a participant will not have any matches on a given day. Brymstone Burning will not wrestle on day 1, then has four matches on day 2 and five on day 3. The Fourth Realm get in the ring five times to start the tournament. The Angry Young Men were the only team to defeat the Gladiators. Malice did not make a tag in the match. He was pinned by the Second Coming but his foot was on the ropes. Bloodline then used the Masterlock for the submission.

The GWF hits the midway point in its series of Iron Man Tournaments as the Iron-Light Tournament will be staged at the Mimas Spectrum, Saturn on card #1,048.

So far the fans have seen the top women and six-man tag-team combinations that the galaxy has to offer. Now the top 10 cruiserweights take center stage.

TALON: after 15 years in the business is finally starting to make his name...lived under the shadow of his cousin Raven...now a member of the Fighting Titans.

SWITCHBLADE: poised to have a break out year and plans on wearing cruiserweight gold...needs to focus on singles career and this tournament if he wants to be successful...consumed with vengeance against Blazing Skull.

VARSITY: a former 2-time Cruiserweight champion...has shown the ability to beat anyone...performances have not been predictable.

KAOS: newest member of the Titans...won a round-robin tournament against Amazing Mann, Soulwatcher and El Pantera Negro to earn entry to the tournament.

On day 3 though, Kaos pulled the upset on Switchblade while the Bomber had remained undefeated since his loss. In Switchblade's match against Blizzard, both men continually went to the outside whether on offense or trying to get a breather. The match downgraded into a fight and finally a double DQ was called. Blizzard didn't care much after that and was soon DQed for using the Ice Attack on the Bomber, although the tournament championship had been decided by then.

The British Bomber becomes the third Iron-Light Tournament winner, joining Max Shield and Prodigy.

In a brutal bonus encounter, Thunder & Disaster def. Killprey & Vengeance in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match. Disaster put Killprey through two tables with the Rampage from atop the ladder.

GWF Commissioner Massif has announced that the tag-team championship has been stripped from the Fourth Realm and held up. Darkseed replaced Nightmare in the team with Petarra as title holders and were successful in one title defense against Stars & Stripes.

Massif said this was not acceptable and would find out how it happened without his notice. He wants this situtation rectified and the pefect way to do it is at hand.

For the first time ever a GWF championship will be decided at the Iron Team Tournament at Fire Island, Mercury. The top 10 teams in the galaxy will not only fight for the Iron Team trophy but also the Galaxian tag-team titles. With this tournament taking on even more epic proportions, no one will be allowed at ringside with any team at any time. These are the participants:

I-P tag team champions Killprey & Vengeance
Fourth Realm
2nd Realm
Desolation Factor
Stars & Stripes
Elemental Fury
Troubleshooters
Colonizer Empire
Gladiators
Animen Horde

The GWF Iron Team Tournament takes on even more importance this year as the vacant tag-team championship will also go to the winner.

Commissioner Massif held up the belts after the Fourth Realm substituted Darkseed for Nightmare to partner with Petarra.

KILLPREY & VENGEANCE (I-P Tag CH): have made five title defenses over their 32 card reign...both want to get back into singles but have not dropped the belts...things could go badly for them with no matches on the first day and eight on day 3.

ELEMENTAL FURY: a major underdog in the tournament...this team has had little success since its pairing by Johnny Rocket.

STARS & STRIPES: this team has yet to hold any gold in the GWF.

DESOLATION FACTOR: former 2-time GWF tag-team champions...have not gotten back into the title picture since last dropping the belts.

GLADIATORS: former 3-time tag-team champs...always after gold and another way to prove Aethran dominance...also won the Six-Man Iron Team Tournament and looking to continue that trend.

FOURTH REALM: extremely upset over the belts being taken...will stop at nothing to get them back.

TROUBLESHOOTERS: newest GWF team from the CPC...an unknown with a lot to prove.

IMMORTALS: have not shown a lot in their brief time in the GWF...another wild card team.

COLONIZER EMPIRE: former 3-time tag team champs...driven to get the belts back to look better than Mandrill.

ANIMEN HORDE: neither partner of Antak's has been any better than the other.

The order of matches may have its biggest impact at the Iron Team. Killprey & Vengeance have eight matches on day 3, including the last six in a row. The Immortals and the Animen Horde wrestle six times each on day 1, Stars & Stripes and the Fourth Realm have six matches on day 2. Elemental Fury and the Gladiators have five matches apiece on the final day.

Also taking place during the Iron Team Tournament:

Ventross vs. Tanck
Euritar vs. Anarchy
Eclipse vs. Bloodline (Gutarr Stick Match)

The Iron Team Tournament determined who would be new GWF tag team champions after Commissioner Massif stripped Petarra & Darkseed of the belts for replacing Nightmare on the championship combination. The Colonizer Empire came on top as winners of the Iron Team Tournament and for the fourth time are the GWF tag team champions.

The build up is over. It is now time for the Great Galaxian Bash 2116: War Games. This year the War Games theme has been modified from a team vs. team event to an every man for himself match.

The War Games will see 15 men enter the double ring steel cage. One man representing each GWF team and one independent wrestler. Two will randomly start the match and another man enters at two minute intervals. Wrestlers can be eliminated at any time during the match by pinfall or submission. After all 15 have entered, the last man left when all the others have been eliminated will win the War Games Elimination Challenge.

Galaxian Bash 2116: War Games
Card #1,060
Regulus Civic Stadium

Switchblade (Cwt. CH) vs. British Bomber -- The Bomber won the Iron-Light Tournament, but Switchblade finished second and was the only man to beat B.B. at the event. Switchblade took the belt in their first title match, then won a rematch by DQ. These two tremendous athletes continue their series of high-flying contests.

Immortals vs. Fourth Realm -- Paladin & Reckless have struggled to be competitive in the GWF, while the Fourth Realm are close to getting a shot at regaining the tag team titles that were taken from them by Commissioner Massif.

Minotaur vs. Wraith -- Minotaur has shown signs of improvement and a slow move up the rankings, while Wraith needs an impressive showing on ppv. to improve his stock on the roster.

Nightmare (TV CH) vs. Puma -- Nightmare took the TV belt from Bloodline in his first opportunity for singles gold in the GWF. Puma defeated Minotaur to earn this title shot.

Elemental Fury (I-P Tag CH) vs. Animen Horde -- Avalanche & Cyclone shocked the galaxy when they won the titles from Killprey & Vengeance. This is their first title defense. Antak & Swarm beat the Troubleshooters to earn this title match.

Gladiators vs. Desolation Factor -- Another chapter in a long rivalry between these top teams in the GWF. Malice & Overkill want to use a win to jump back into the thick of the tag team title chase, as do Rack & Ruin.

Thunder vs. Killprey (Hunters Prey Match) -- Thunder is back in the top five rankings and still awaiting a chance for the GWF title. He has beaten Wolf and Vengeance since the Iron Man Tournament while losing to now GWF title holder Encubus. Thunder still has not gotten a title match since winning the Royal Rumble. Killprey beat Wolf in his return to singles action after losing the I-P tag titles.

Ventross (I-P CH) vs. Blazing Skull -- Ventross has been a dominant I-P champion and now ranked #3 in the GWF. Blazing Skull was impressive at the Iron Man Tournament and downed Archon to earn this title opportunity.

Max Shield vs. Mandrill (Centra Coffin Match) -- Max Shield is back from injuries sustained at Mandrill's hands in a Circinus Cell Match. This will be yet another bloody entry in the war journal between these two foes.

U.S. Male & American Guy finished third and have since won a Triple Threat Match against Desolation Factor & the Animen Horde, and have split matches with the Colonizers by DQ decisions.
